Back in 2022 we were asked by prop masters Steve Melton and Richie Kremer to build the Iwi staffs for “Godzilla x Kong”. We tried out a few versions that would glow internally, but ultimately got nixed. Due to all the spiked points, we ended up casting them out of a high A durometer urethane rubber from @bjbenterprises. This helped mitigate the tips breaking or stabbing performers. We’re all big fans of these movies, so it’s great to finally be able to show some of this stuff now that they’re out!
